No idea how this happened. I’ve been using the free priority tab for years. Have hundreds of tasks that are recurring with different priorities. They all show up on my task list. I noticed in some projects they weren’t showing up in the task list and now they are all hidden and a duplicated priority list field was created. I now have to effectively redo priorities for hundreds of recurring tasks to get them to show up in my “My Tasks” section. You can see here all the original priorities were under fields where you can see “Low”. Now there is a new “My Tasks Field” which is empty where I can also choose priority and in the My Tasks section, it only shows blanks from that section—no idea how this happened. Now My entire priority column is blank on all projects unless I read it to this new priority field.
Looks like your My Tasks view doesn’t use the same priority field as your projects. To debug, you can try to rename them (“priority 1”) and it will help apply the right field to the right project.
My personal suggestion: don’t use Asana High-Medium-Low field, I believe it sucks for 2 reasons:
- the Low option, with this orange colour, makes it wayyyy too visible in a project. Low priority should be invisible
- 3 levels of priorities + the option to not select any, results in your space having 4 potentiel priorities. Way too much in my opinion. Having simply “High” in a dropdown is usually more than enough
@Steven_Morano, I agree with Bastien and in case you like to check it out, my Forum Leader Tip details this approach:
