I’m following these instruction to auto-forward gmail to create tasks in an Asana project (Turning emails into Asana tasks | Product guide • Asana Product Guide). Problem is that the original sender’s email does not appear on the Asana task (in the description or on the attachment). Anyone have a solution or workaround?
When you forward an email to someone, don’t you have a header placed above the email with the date, sender, destination etc? That might be a configuration of your email client.
@Bastien_Siebman No, not when using gmail auto-forwarding. And Asana doesn’t seem to do anything with the non-inline header info except feed the subject to the task name.
Any updates on this? I face the same issue
Same issue here! We need the field of the original sender in Asana so we don’t need to constantly go back to the original inbox. Any updates?
No news?
Is there any update or roadmap item? I need the header info (the original sender). Otherwise I ahve no idea where this task originated from.
I agree this is a problem, we haven’t heard anything about this topic and the roadmap, but it doesn’t mean it won’t be included
