Premium upgrade

@Mario_Peshev “One of the unpleasant surprises leading to the extra charge were former freelancers and employees who signed up with a company email address a long time ago. While they haven’t been using Asana since they quit, their accounts were automatically accounted as team members.”

Not understanding why they were not deleted unless you wanted to keep historic information. You describe they don’t even use the product. So $700 charge is a little hard to understand…

But in the end I guess you are down to $200 versus the feared $550 per month and yes I cannot fathom any scenario that you would want to be a workspace instead of an organization when non-domain emails are free in the premium addition. I think your business plan change is vendors will not be given your domains email address but retain there own.

They kept saying that their system reports a lot more users than we’ve got. We were pressed by the inability to add new members (clients or anyone else) which is why we had to update ASAP.

After upgrading, our user list suddenly grew with a few more members who haven’t been with us (some for years) - which is how we’ve realized that they were automatically “added” to the organization. They were not members of our workspace for sure.

Yeah, $200/mo is better than $550/mo, but at the latter amount, we would have switched to Basecamp, Jira, Trello or whatever. I get paying for employees, but not a multiplier for everyone else - just doesn’t add up for us.

@Mario_Peshev It still sounds to me like you have a further technical support issue. You should never be charged under an organization for more than the number of domain members. I would like to know what @Michael_A suggestion would be on this. Surely there is a way to purge past inactive members and have a clean organization of current active members combined with the free guest provisions of an organization. Not sure Trello etc would have been any cheaper.
