Possibility to share projects between teams - New Resolution from the one closed in 2024

Continuing the discussion from [Possibility to share projects between teams] Possibility to share projects between teams

Good morning,
I found the topic extremely interesting and the solution great however it looks like that as per today January 2025 even having and Enterprise Contract we don’t have the option. the only two options available are Shared with Team or Private

What should I do? why isn’t it working for us. Also there are other Enterprise functionality that do not work for us as for example the AI automatic status updates for projects.

I really would love some help please.

Hi @Eugenia_Silvestri , welcome to the forum.

Your screenshot is from the initial project creation. There, you can select Shared with Team and create the project.

Then, in the newly created project, click on the blue Share button and search for any additional Teams you want to share the project with. Once you do that, the project will also appear in those Teams.

Regarding some AI features and other functionality such as Portfolio Rules and weighted Goals for example - these are not available on Legacy Enterprise which it sounds like you are likely on. You should contact Asana Sales to switch you to the new Enterprise tier which is also less expensive.

Alternatively, make sure that your AI settings in your Admin Console are all enabled.

Hope that helps!

@Eugenia_Silvestri,

Just be careful about switching plans; it’s important to compare them in detail to make sure you’re aware of any functionality you might be losing, since the corresponding new plan to legacy Enterprise is Enterprise +, and then new plan, confusingly called “Enterprise” is a reduced version of the legacy Enterprise.

There are Forum topics about this:

@Richard_Sather Great Thanks. This is very helpful. However the post I was referring to specify we can make projects public to the entire organization/company and I don’t see the same options.
Is it because the type of account my company have?

Yes, you might be on a Division setup (instead of an Organization). Check your Admin Console>Billing section.

Yes you are right I am in the Division Setup. I guess you need to be the contract owner to switch it correct?

Hi @Eugenia_Silvestri , yes your Asana Admin or Billing Owner would need to contact your Asana Account Manager or Asana’s Support team to change this for them. They will also be able to explain the differences, nuances, etc.

Thank you for your help. Really appreciate it.
