Portfolio Permissions and Project Permissions

Hello,
I’m new to Asana and would like to know how permissions work in a portfolio that contains projects that only select people can view. Do the permissions at the portfolio level overide the project level?

ex. In a portfolio, if projects are added that are only viewable to specific team members but are included in a portfolio that is open to a larger group, how does this project show up?

I have the same question. We want our portfolio to be viewed by others at our company so they can see which projects we have on the horizon. Although, since many of these projects are already created, we don’t want to have to go and change all the project level permissions if we don’t have to.
