Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: I am running the PC Desktop App in Windows 10. Since the last release or so, it no longer shows the horizontal scroll bar on the Board view, or the Timeline view, Workflow view, or anywhere else you’d expect it to appear. If I resize the window smaller than full screen, it will show the scroll bar.
Steps to reproduce: Open PC Desktop app. Go to a project. Go to Board view. Look for the horizontal scroll bar.
Browser version: Chrome 117.0.5938.89
What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)? Business
Hi all, as a temporary workaround, until this bug gets fixed…
If you are using a mouse with a middle button, clicking it should enable horizontal scrolling, by moving the mouse left/right. Or if you prefer, you can hold down Shift while scrolling your mouse wheel.
If not, then best to resort to the browser version of Asana, for the time being!
Our organization is also experiencing this for desktop app users. This occurred with the latest update. The desktop application is very buggy in general. I can no longer find the support page that allows you to open a case with support, which led me here to look if others had this issues. The support page “Lets Talk” does not work.
To create a support ticket, go to www.asana.com/support > click the chat icon at the bottom right > type “speak to an agent” > click “Yes” > click “Something Else” > click “Create a support ticket”.
I do not have a chat icon at the bottom right of the Asana Support - Help Center page. I tried in Chrome and Edge. I’ve been able to locate where to submit tickets in the past, not sure when this changed.
If I navigate to another page such as Manage your team’s work, projects, & tasks online • Asana, the chat icon pops up, but there is no option to type. I can only select from predefined choices, none of which are to speak to an agent or submit a ticket.
Thank you for your assistance with trying to figure this out.
This is the path I followed to the Asana Support Ticket feature: 1. In the Desktop App, click “(?) Help” in the lower left corner of the window 2. From the expanded menu that appears, click “(?) Contact support” 3. This will open a web page in your browser, and the chat widget should be visible in the lower right corner of the page 4. I took the prompt literally and clicked on the little bubble with the text in it (after all, it did say “Click me…”)—clicking the round speech bubble icon would have probably resulted in the same chat box as appeares in the next step 5. This opens the chat box where the helpful bot will presumably walk through support ticket steps (I didn’t go that far in this process)
Forgive me if these are the exact same steps you took. If so, is it possible that at some point in the past you clicked on the little “X” to get the chat prompt out of the way, and it remembered your decision for that page? Seems like an odd feature—and to have occurred in both of your browsers—but anything’s possible, I guess.
As for the disappearing scroll bars when going full-screen… I have that issue as well, which appeared after the latest Asana Desktop App update. My workaround is just manually sizing the window to the screen edges. (The WINDOWS KEY + ↑ command, as suggested elsewhere in this thread, does not produce the desired result for me.)
Like @Kara_Collins, I don’t have a chatbot on the Help Center page. I’ve cleared my cache and done a hard refresh. It’s possible my Cybersecurity team is blocking some element that makes it appear (?). Makes it awfully hard to submit tickets if there isn’t a function to do so though.
Hi everyone! Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with our updated Support page. I’m reporting this issue to our team, and as soon as I have an update I’ll get back to you. If you need to reach out to support in the meantime, please let me know!
After some quick testing I found that when I disconnect from our VPN, I can see the chat icon. So something is being blocked on our end causing us to not see the chat icon. I think Asana needs to make submitting and tracking tickets more accessible…
