Pause Rules in Bundles. Yes, your rules can now BE ON A BREAK! ⚡️

Hi Community :waving_hand:

If Ross and Rachel from the show Friends taught us anything, it’s that “being on a break” is… complicated.

:tada: But pausing rules in a bundle? That just got simple!

You can now toggle individual rules off inside a bundle, keep your full configuration saved, and turn them back on whenever you’re ready. No drama required. :hot_beverage:

The Pausing rules in a bundle feedback thread in the Forum helped push for this improvement. Until now, stopping a rule meant deleting it and losing your full configuration. Some of you even found workarounds like adding impossible trigger conditions just to keep a rule saved but inactive (we see you, @Jan-Rienk and we respect the hustle :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:). Happy to share that’s no longer needed!

Here’s what’s included:

  1. Pause toggle on each rule. Every rule inside a bundle now has its own on/off toggle. Turn it off, and the rule stops running while your full configuration stays saved. Turn it back on whenever you’re ready.
  2. Paused rule count in Controls. Open the “Controls” section of a bundle and you’ll see a count of how many rules are currently paused. A quick way to check what’s active at a glance.
  3. Visual indicator in your bundles list. When browsing bundles in the gallery or the Workflow section, you can spot which bundles have paused rules right away.

One thing to note: pausing a rule in a bundle stops it from running in every project where that bundle is applied. Bundle admins can pause and resume rules within their bundles.

So if you need to troubleshoot, make a temporary process change, or iterate on your workflows, your rules stay saved and ready to go.

Big shoutout to everyone who contributed to the Pausing rules in a bundle feedback thread. You helped shape this one directly, and it’s great to see it live.

As always, feel free to share your thoughts and feedback in the comments :slightly_smiling_face:

He could have waited at least a couple of days for things to cool down!

But to be honest, I think the real issue was just a massive lack of clear communication between them. If that conversation had been an Asana Approval task, none of that would have happened… :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:
