Paste images into iOS app without saving to photos first

In most iOS apps (using iPhone in my case) I can usually copy an image to the clipboard and then paste it into the relevant app. In Asana I have to first save this image in my Photos (or files) and then go to the Asana app and select the image from Photos.

Is there a reason this is not supported? On the web version on my laptop pasting an image works perfectly ok.

Hi @ham, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us!

As it stands, it’s currently not possible to attach images on mobile by copying and pasting. As you mentioned, this feature is supported on web. We don’t have immediate plans to launch this feature but I’ll update this thread as soon as I have any news!

Dear Asana Team,

I’m writing to share a feature request that would significantly enhance the seamless integration and productivity that Asana is known for: the ability to paste images directly within the mobile app.

As a user who frequently relies on my phone to capture screenshots, visuals, and ideas on the go, having to switch to my computer or navigate through the “Attach” option to add these images to tasks and updates disrupts my workflow. The ability to directly paste images on mobile would be a game-changer, aligning perfectly with Asana’s commitment to streamlining work processes.

I understand that this feature may not be in your immediate plans, but I wanted to express my strong support for its development. It would truly unlock a new level of efficiency and convenience for many mobile users like myself.

I’m eager to hear any updates on this feature’s potential integration in the future. Thank you for continuously striving to create an even more intuitive and productive workspace within Asana.

Sincerely,
