Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
I am a long time Asana user so this is an issue that just started recently when you updated system recently.
When cutting and pasting from other programs / my computer area -Asana is making it an attachment only which is not good when I am trying to paste a link.
Even when using Ctrl K to create a link - put in text then go to paste the link address it still does same thing.
Steps to reproduce:
go to any task and paste a link - surprised I am even having to report this bug
Browser version:
Google Chrome is up to date
Version 84.0.4147.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)
UPDATE: I have now narrowed it down that this is happening when working with Microsoft one note windows 10.
I have NOT tried every program I use yet but this seems the main culprit so far. THIS IS STILL A BIG ISSUE SINCE I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM TILL RECENTLY

Just to make sure I understand the issue, when you mention you are cutting and pasting / your computer area, do you mean you are copying and pasting a text or taking a screenshot of your browser computer?
Hello! This is also happening for me too.
When I try to paste a few sentences that I typed in OneNote, it pastes as an attachment in Asana. I am trying to paste specifically the text. Has there been a resolution for this? Thank you so much for your time in advance.
I’m running into this issue too. I see that 2 years have passed. Is there a way to resolve the OneNote copy/paste from becoming an attachment vs simply pasting the text in an Asana comment or task update?
I have a colleague that has run into the same problem. A workaround, while tedious, is to copy into outlook (or some other text program) and then paste into Asana… or alternatively, i was able to paste normal by “right click” in asana and “paste as plain text”
