Overview or library of all forms used in the organization

Hello! My organization uses forms in almost all of our projects. What we’re looking to do is add the same form to multiple projects. It would be beneficial (and save time) to have a forms library, similar to the custom fields library. Thank you!

@Brittany_Goitiz this is a workaround, but you can have the form tied to a single project, and use rules to route that task into any project you need.

Completely agree. I’ve built some complex forms and not being able to use them in multiple projects (like a form template?) has been difficult. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to either use these forms in multiple projects or be able to create form templates so you could easily duplicate them in different projects.

100% - We have often had the need to have a comprehensive list of the forms. I cannot believe this is not available and I have to go project to project, in a relatively large organization this is time consuming and simply inefficient. I am an admin and still cannot find a way to extract a list of form, its shocking to me!

I’d love to know an update on this, if it is in development. This would be a huge benefit to our organization to be able to view all forms in one location.

Offering an imperfect workaround: I’ve been able to surface forms buried in other projects by asking Asana AI to search for them. It should work as long as you know what the form is likely named or approximately when it was created.

Note: Not a solution but marked as such to elevate a key reply

Adding an update that Home widgets has a Forms widget. I forgot about it , came here looking for solution, voted… then found it.

Putting it here for other forgetful folk like me!

We have a pilot group testing Asana for larger adoption across the org (right now it has been adopted only by our Marketing team). While I use the forms module, it would be really great if you could do an Advanced Search for Projects with a Form.

Hey folks,

We’re currently testing a new navigation experience that intends to improve the visibility of Asana’s most powerful tools, including Forms! In the new experience, users will have a way to see an index or library of all of the global fields, forms, project templates, rules, and bundles in their domain. This is currently experimenting, but we’re also able to turn on the Beta version of this for select users and domains.

If you’re interested in joining the beta, please reach out via this form!

Hi @Nikko_Mendoza , thanks for the article. There seems to be something wrong with the Visibility section for Rules and Forms clumped into one and Rules are not making sense:

Rules: Users who are field admins, editors, or users will see the fields they have been given access to Forms: Fields have a unique access model. Forms that are in private projects aren’t visible to users unless they have been invited to submit the form. After a user has seen a form it’ll be available in the list of forms. The user can only deactivate or delete the form if they have edit/admin access to the project the form is associated with.
