We have separate projects for each client and the tasks in each project are very similar. I rely heavily on Asana’s search functionality. Since there is no option to limit the search to the project you are currently in, I search globally, then filter by the projects I want to search in. However, as of yesterday, the “Located” filter option does not work. The drop down displays the projects (some of them…different topic) but without the checkbox that used to show there. Clicking on the projects in the list does nothing.
If I use the “More location filters” option in the “Located” drop down I can manually type in projects to filter on but that is tedious.
I have tried logging in/out, clearing cookies, different browser, to no avail.
I can confirm the problem. @Forum-team, can you consider escalating? You can use Located to filter autocomplete, but you can neither enter a project name in the field nor click on any of the filtered choices below:
Actually, this feature was added back. In a project or My Tasks, click the at the far right, enter a term or not, but click the three dots in the box and then Go to advanced search:
That will automatically pre-load the Located parameter with the current project’s name so you don’t have to type it in manually. (In the case of My Tasks, it fills in you as the Assignee.)
Thank you for replicating it! I have created a ticket on this as well.
And thanks for pointing out the search icon on the right side of the project next to “Options”! I don’t know how I didn’t notice that before. Probably just never needed it )
