Option to change colour appearance of tasks + subtasks in My Tasks calendar view

Recently there were some updates that mean all tasks and subtasks are now the colour of the Project that are part of. Previously, subtasks were grey colour by default, and their parent tasks blue; now they are the same colour which makes them harder to distinguish from one another at a glance. I also find the subtasks/parent tasks being coloured makes them harder to read overall.

I know I can change the colour appearance of a Project to be grey, which then means all the tasks and subtasks in my tasks calendar view will be grey as they were before. However, there still won’t be any distinguishing colour difference between subtasks and parent tasks.

Would be great if there was a colour setting you could select to help distinguish between parent tasks and their subtasks by colour, like how it looked before. This is how my calendar view looks currently, with the Project board being set as blue.

Hi there - this is a massive issue for me also. At peak we work with 200+ subtasks a day and since this update and having all the parent and subtasks the same colour it has been incredibly difficult. Have you found a solution to this yet?

Glad I found this. I couldn’t understand why they were all the same color now and were not before. Being able to differentiate between parent and subtasks in the My Tasks view is a big deal for organizing multiple projects (50+ at a time) and with multiple subtasks (several hundred at the same time). The My Tasks view was super helpful to keep it all straight but now it is just confusing and frustrating.

Please consider going back to the previous color configuration. The light gray was a nice contrast to identify subtasks.

Hi Chelsea, no I haven’t found a solution yet which is disappointing. I find the My Tasks view a lot more overwhelming than I used to as everything is all jumbled together. Really hope there’s a fix for this soon.
