I want to customize colors on Calendar in My Tasks view

When I click My Tasks at the top to show across all teams, all projects, I would like to color code based on a field but there is no way to customize.

If you are interested to understand what color is picked, you can read my post on the topic 🎨 If Van Gogh used Asana: a study about colors on Asana

Yes, thank you! I read that - super helpful. But I still feel like it is essentially hacking the system. I would like this to be an easy click and reply choice.

Week view is very good thanks. But:

  • Color of task is depends on color of first project in task but we can not rearrange project in tasks to change task appearance

Thanks for your feedback, @Jes_Obertyukh! I moved your post to I want to customize colors on Calendar in My Tasks view to consolidate feedback!

That’s indeed a very complex topic :p. 🎨 If Van Gogh used Asana: a study about colors on Asana

On my calendar most of my tasks are white, but some tasks that are in the same colored. This doesnt make sense.

Yes please! I usually view My Tasks in calendar view, it would be great to have the colours give me useful information based on the custom fields I have in My Tasks but right now as soon as a task is also in a project it takes the project colour, which doesn’t tell me anything useful (I already know from the task names which project they come from).

I solved it by removing the assigned colors to projects. When you set the default color, (the light gray one, first in order) then the color of the tasks on the My tasks view, take colors from, for example, the tags (or I guess any other field).

Huh, that’s a clever idea! But unfortunately I can’t do that with team projects, as the team uses colour-coding to categorise them.
