Is there a keyboard shortcut to make this more efficient?
Extensions offer the ability to configure your own chosen shortcuts.
In Chrome (see web for approach in other browsers):
- Go to chrome://extensions
- Use side tab Keyboard shortcuts
- Locat the Asana extension
- Follow the instructions to type your chosen shortcut.

Is it possible to re-open the forum thread I referenced until the Google Docs highlighting feature has launched? Happy to open a new thread as well but there’s a lot of traction on that one and they closed it without a full resolution (and I couldn’t find a way to re-open it myself) Ability to create and assign tasks from Google Docs (has been open since 2017 which was 7 years ago)
Still wondering if this feature is on the product timeline or will be added to it as this has been 7 years since this was requested 
(thank you Ipb for the insight that they don’t usually provide timelines (which is unfortunate)! I’d just love to hear from them directly about why this isn’t being prioritized)

Thanks for bumping this again Brian! I’ve been trying to get them to reopen the 2017 thread for months to no avail lol definitely unfortunate considering that other thread was open since 2017 and had hundreds of comments and so many views
@Emily_Roman - would love to hear from you about this and request you to re-open the 2017 thread or let us know if there’s another channel/person we can ask to do this!

We don’t have immediate plans to launch this feature but you can try leveraging the Asana for Chrome extension in the meantime. We will also ensure to continue sharing the community feedback with our product team and will comment on that topic when we have any news!

Since this is still not on the product roadmap after 7 years, I was wondering if there’s actually a way for us to request changes or updates to the current Asana + Google Chrome extension that Vicky wrote about here to have this highlighting functionality in Google Docs as an interim solution?
Vicky wrote “My personal favorite update is that you can now also quickly add tasks to Asana from any webpage, by highlighting any text, and opening the right-click menu to create a task–easy peasy!” but this doesn’t work in Google Docs so I’m wondering if the extension is actually broken?
Any chance we will see a Safari extension?
