Would be nice to have collapsible blocks (like gdocs/notion)
The Request: Give Notes collapsible headers/subheaders or blocks integrated with the navigation pane. This would create a structured space for project information that’s too important to sit in scattered brainstorming docs, but not ready to be turned into tasks or stored as finalized resources/briefs.
Why It’s Needed: Right now, this type of “middle stage/holding space” content—highly relevant to the project but still in development—often gets buried in long Notes or pushed into external tools (Notion, Google Docs). That causes scroll fatigue, slows collaboration, and fragments visibility.
Collapsible headers would:
-
Make large Notes instantly navigable.
-
Allow teams to hide sections not in focus.
-
Keep relevant but in-progress material directly connected to the work it supports.
Example Use Cases
-
Pre-Execution Planning – Store timelines, risk considerations, and stakeholder notes before converting them into tasks.
-
Structured Knowledge Staging – Keep procedural updates or research ready for review before they’re finalized.
-
Cross-Project Initiative Hub – Stage objectives, dependencies, and resource links in a collapsible outline.
-
Dependency Mapping – Track upstream/downstream dependencies for easy reference.
-
Resource & Asset Tracking – Organize vendor contacts, external links, and compliance info.
-
Archival Prep Zone – Hold content until a phase officially closes.
-
Initiative Planning – Outline KPIs, goals, and dependencies for upcoming phases.
-
Meeting Prep & Follow-Up – Collapse past agenda items while keeping future topics visible.
Suggested Implementation: Collapsible headings with their state reflected in the navigation pane, similar to Notion toggles or Google Docs’ collapsible outline.
Hi @Christian_Anderson2 and welcome to the forum!
I’ve merged your post with another request for this feature, importantly, in a forum section where people - including you! - can add your vote for it.
Yes to this! Collapsible headers would turn Notes into a true working hub, keeping key in-progress details visible, structured, and easy to navigate without bouncing between tools.
