Just wish I could still somehow have starred items that show regardless of mode (e.g. projects and workload views)

Honestly, I don’t love it. If the goal was to have people use search more to find what they need, then mission accomplished.
I find myself constantly opening/expanding the entire side panel, losing screen real estate just to get to my favorites.
It doesn’t make sense why the starred repeats in every section - they should just have a ‘Starred/Favorite’ tab you can click, it expands your saved searches, projects, portfolios, etc. then when you click away it disappears. I also don’t regularly use what is in ‘Workflow’ or ‘Strategy’, so it feels like overkill. It would be nice to be able to customize “quick-launch” icons/buttons on the left-hand side so I can keep it minimized with the projects, portfolios, searches, etc. I use most commonly.

These nested tabs result in losing a lot of real estate, resulting in truncated names, making it harder to find peojects. For example, in the screenshot “Great Barrier IronWor…” becomes “Great Barrier Iro…”
The frame can, of course, be expanded, but then you lose real estate for viewing project boards and cards. Especially on laptops, this leaves little room for having an overview.
Many Asana users work primarily in the Work section. (Just guessing but it’s probably most users 90% of the time.) It’s rare that I need to look up People, for example as I normally just need to at mention them or assign something.
Suggestion: The new, left “After” tab items could just be part of the old “Before” tab menu. Or, at the very least, the new left"After" tab should be collapsible to allow more real estate for getting work done.
