Iām delighted to announce that weāre rolling out a brand new Homepage!
When logging into Asana, you will automatically land on your Homepage where you will find your Favorite Projects as well as Projects you have recently worked on!
This is the very start of our Homepage feature; ultimately, it will be a place that helps you contribute to your teamās mission even more efficiently: surfacing anything that needs your attention, nudging you to do the right thing at the right time!
If youād like to learn more about this new feature, have a look at this handy article. As always, we welcome all your feedback, so feel free to let us know what you think and youād like to see on your Homepage in the future!
Important note: This feature isnāt yet available to all our customers, weāre slowly rolling out, so if you donāt have access to it just yet, donāt worry, it should be available to you soon!
I feel the same way, was quite excited when I saw the pop-up that it was coming but quite underwhelmed. I like the idea of a homepage, I think it could be useful if done right, but this doesnāt feel like it really adds much to the product.
Iād expect a homepage to maybe show some of ātodayāsā tasks from My Tasks along with pulling in other aspects to the system. I havenāt thought it out enough but Iād figure that Asana would have a good idea of what to pull in. Iām struggling to find use in it
It now overwrites setting the default view to My Tasks which is unfortunate as well. I understand you can still bookmark My Tasks but much of the time I am just searching asana.com to visit the site versus clicking a bookmark. Really hope the homepage improves and adds more/different functionality.
I can see why thereās a need to a āhome pageā, but not with the functionality that it offers now. Canāt wait for new improvements to come!
Users deserve a open roadmap #please.
I like it! I find that I need to break up a few projects, and this might do the trick!
Something I would like, is to have more color options, so that we can brand our Asana community to our nonprofit. Anything down the pike on more options there? Keep up the great work, I tell everyone to use Asana! I love it!
Also: Any updates coming on mobile? I see Android and Apple looks different a bit.

Totally agree! I also like the idea, but the current functionality doesnāt make sense to me. It would be great if you can manage and organize what is on the homepage and I also hope that they add new functions soon.

Agreed with all of the above. I definitely appreciate some work toward giving us that 10,000ft view of our companyās work, but this isnāt ready and honestly shouldnāt have launched like this. Especially if youāre also not going to let us set a different section as our default āhomeā. (And I did burn a little time manually setting a color for everyā¦ projectā¦ manuallyā¦ viaā¦ multiple clicksā¦ eachā¦)
I really appreciate this feature - its perfect for a high level view during team meetings and I like that itās pretty basic (if I want details, Iām going to click into a project). Features to request: Flexibility in organizing the tiles (different grid ratios) and a keyboard shortcut to get back to the homepage quickly (or a button along the top bar - just would be nice to be able to access it without opening the side menu).
Somewhat related, would love the option to use custom colors for projects.

Thanks Asana. This could be a helpful feature down the track. However in the interim can we have a setting to remove it from the side bar - or at least be able to set our default landing page.
Also Iāve never used the dashboard (does anyone??) - Can we have a setting to hide that too please?

Hi @Tim_Jasper and thanks for your feedback! As it stands, itās not possible to remove the āDashboardā or āHomepageā feature; with that said, I would recommend creating a thread in the #productfeedback category for our Development team to consider it when revisiting the sidebar feature.
In the meantime, if you prefer landing on your āMy Tasksā or āInboxā page when logging in your account, I would recommend you to create a bookmark to your āMy Tasksā or āInboxā.
