Hello, I use Asana to track all of my to-do’s across various projects and events. I can’t always bring my laptop or phone with me into meetings and walk-throughs so I use the printed version of My Tasks to take with me on the go. I used to be able to print a list of all tasks assigned to me under My Tasks, and that list would be in the order of my projects on the left-hand side of the screen by default and would include the section and subtasks of each task. Can we bring back this function please?
I can’t speak to the Asana feature’s return, but with my Asana2Go:
you can easily print My Tasks in the order you see them on screen in case that’s of interest.
Larry
it is not the order that is a problem but that we want to see the Sections in the print out!
@Sue_Philibert, There are at least six different Asana2Go standard report choices with “Sections/Tasks” in the name, and all of them print the Section names as headers and the tasks for your arbitrary set of selected tasks. Some also include Subsections and Subtasks.
Larry
How do i select the section to export?
Welcome, @Solomon_Basch,
If you’re asking in regard to my earlier posts on Asana2Go, you select the tasks in the section(s) of interest; Asana2Go knows the sections they’re in.
Larry
Thank you,
When I try to select a section it just prints the task I clicked on.
Can you please show me a screenshot how to select a whole section?
Thank you I figured it out.
I have to admit, I’m at a total loss. I’m somewhat new to Asana but have been using it for several months to test it out and was about to migrate to it fully when I discovered that it is impossible to generate a printed version of the My Tasks list. You know, a printed version that looks just like the My Tasks list on the screen without all the content in the Descriptions, etc. I’ve noticed this has been asked for by numerous other users in a handful of other posts and everyone seems to find out it’s not do-able and then gently fades away. Is this not a complete and utter deal-breaker for most?! I need a task management platform just like Asana but that can also print out the very primary report (My Tasks) I see on the screen and am stupefied by the fact that Asana does not allow for this and that it does not seem to be a big deal for the majority of the user base? Sorry to be so worked up over it but it just seems utterly insane to me. Thanks for any guidance towards a solution to this (whether that be another platform or just a full-scale uprising that causes Asana to implement this truly most basic of features).
@Obelisk, I’ve merged your post into an existing topic where you can click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button.
See also other posts in this topic regarding Asana2Go (Disclaimer: I’m the creator) as another option until/if Asana addresses this.
Thanks,
Larry
Thanks. I guess I’m again just stupefied that if this is the consolidated topic for “hey Asana, let’s get even basic printing executed please”, there are only 2 upvotes for it. Nobody else using Asana needs to print their My Tasks list??
