As it stands, it’s not possible to set a default view from mobile just yet but this is something our team is working on and I hope to have good news to share soon! 
I’m curious why your My Task view has changed to Calendar by default. Do you have that view set in the website by any chance? If not, would you mind trying to reinstall the app and let me know if the issue persists?

Thanks @Natalia!! indeed, the problem was the setting on the website. I changed it, and the mobile default changes as well. No idea how it got changed, as I mostly use mobile version and not website. In any case, the problem is solved, thank you very much for your help!!
