My Guests free trial ends

Hey everybody,

maybe someone can help me: I have some guests with numerous tasks in several projects in my workspace (which is a Enterprise plan).
Now all guests received a message that their free trial is ending.

I read a lot in the forum but I haven’t seen what happens if they refuse to buy a plan:

  1. Can they still log in and access their tasks in my workspace exactly like before?
  2. Do my projects still look the same to them?
  3. Can they still see my custom fields?
  4. Will they be deleted as responsible people from my tasks?

I would love to learn about that!

Cheers,
Sonja

@Sonja_Hummel,

First, there are many variations and I urge you to reach out to Asana Sales or Support, so take the following as proceed at your own risk!

Are you currently an Enterprise Organization or an Enterprise Workspace. If the latter, the notion of Guests doesn’t apply (as it does for Orgs); all occupy seats.

Assuming after the trial you will be on the free plan, then

  1. Yes, but without any paid-level features
  2. Same as 1
  3. No
  4. No

Thanks,

Larry

Hey Larry,

thanks for your response! We are an Enterprise Organization. And we will stay in that plan. So me and my projects should be safe.

I am just asking what happens to my guests if they refuse to go for a paid plan. I can’t force them to buy licenses but I would love for my organization if our guests are still able to collaborate on our projects like before even if they don’t pay for Asana.

Cheers,
Sonja

Ah, I misunderstood your question; sorry.

The good news are that Guests come along on the ride for free so you never have to pay for them. They can be users/collaborators, generally, but not creators, generally. For example, if you invite them to a project, they can update the values of custom fields you’ve created, but they cannot create custom fields, nor edit the definitions of those custom fields.

Thanks,

Larry
