TL;DR: Requesting a “My Comment Activity” home screen widget with tabs for recent comments I’ve left, comments mentioning me, and draft comments — so I can track and follow up on my own comment activity without knowing where the task lives.
***
I live in Asana all day across dozens of projects, tasks, and subtasks. One of the biggest gaps I keep running into is having no way to quickly see comments I’ve recently left — regardless of where those tasks live.
The scenario that prompted this: I left a comment on a ticket last night and couldn’t remember whether it was a task or subtask, or which project it lived in. There’s no surface in Asana today that lets me just pull up “comments I left recently” without already knowing where to look.
What I’d love to see is a new home screen widget called My Comment Activity with three tabs:
- Recent comments I’ve left — a reverse-chronological feed of comments I’ve authored, with a link to the parent task
- Comments mentioning me — this already exists as a panel, so the pattern is proven
- Draft comments — this also already exists as a panel
Asana already has the “Tasks I’ve Assigned” panel and the “Comments Mentioning Me” panel. This would complete the picture by surfacing my own outbound comment activity in the same way.
This is especially valuable for ops practitioners and team leads who are frequently unblocking others through comments — and need a lightweight way to follow up without relying on memory or knowing exactly where a task lives.
Related threads that have touched on parts of this problem but haven’t gotten a native solution:
- Is there a way to search and filter comments made by me on a specific date or date range?
- I'd like to see all my comments by date and time
- Follow-up On Task Comments
Would love to see this on the roadmap. Happy to share more context on the use case.
Connected idea I just submitted: Add a Comment Date/Timeframe Filter to the "Commented On By" Search Parameter
