Can we PLEASE get tabs in the desktop app so we dont lose our places in other projects???
Hey @Morgan_Antonez,
I have moved your post into an existing feedback request thread. Don‘t forget to upvote!
can you make it one
I do not work for Asana and don’t have the capability to do so.
As all Forum Leaders, we are here to supply suggestions if something is not readily available in the Asana platform.
I would find it really helpful to have tabbed browsing along the top of my desktop app. One of the downsides of navigating in Asana is having to regularly open separate windows to reference something in a different place without wanting to lose my place. I would love to keep a few projects open and jump back and forth into tabs at the top of the app.
Hello @Anne_Racioppi,
I have merged your post into an existing feedback request thread.
The votes have been transferred as well.
I agree this is a crucial feature, we won’t be able to use the desktop app until this is added
Oh, still not implemented? It’s 2023 ![]()
Yes, it’s crucial. I’m not using the desktop app because of the lack of this feature.
Would be awesome when opening multiple workspaces in the new ASANA Desktop for Mac, where you can have them open as TABS inside the main ASANA desktop app window, instead of separate windows.
Hello, when will this tabs feature be added to the desktop app? I can’t use the desktop app until it has the feature, as I often have 5/6 asana tabs open at the same time while working, and having 6 Asana windows running at the same time isn’t feasible of course. Also, presumably having 6 windows open will use up more CPU that 6 tabs? Thanks, Rob ![]()
There’s nothing as distant as ‘near future’. ![]()
I believe the amount of likes for this feature is not as big because there are multiple posts about the feature and the likes are spread pretty thin among them.
And I would like to add another subfeature here - the option to keep the tabs persistent upon reload of the app. I have multiple tabs opened in my browser and I appreciate very much that after rebooting my laptop I can see them at the same place.
still no tabs? I don’t see how I can be productive in a productivity app that limits me to one tab. can’t use desktop without tabs. looking forward to when they come out!
Hey hey! Where can we vote to make the “multiple tabs in one Asana window” concept a reality? Hope this reply counts as my vote ![]()
@anon97716118, click the title of this thread to scroll to the top and click the purple vote button. Your reply doesn’t actually count in the vote!
Thanks,

Thanks Larry!
Same as rest. Can’t use app as I keep multiple projects open and don’t want to loose my spot.
Sooo, am I the only one who does have desktop app tabs? I was so excited when I saw them come through with the latest update (2.0.2) that I shouted from the Slack rooftops to my team… but it seems this feature is not showing for them, even after they’ve confirmed the latest version and downloaded and reinstalled the app.
It has been released indeed, at least to some of us!
It doesn’t seem to work on Mac but my workmate can access it on his Windows laptop.
I am here as I noticed it on my home macbook app for the first time… got to work and went to use it on the iMac and it isn’t here.
