Microsoft Teams links open Asana in a browser, not Asana desktop

I have the Asana app set up in my Teams desktop app. Works okay, insofar as I’m now able to receive notification in Teams from my Asana projects. Only thing I don’t much like is that, when I receive an Asana notification in Teams and click the “View in Asana” link, it opens Asana in a browser instead of in Asana desktop.

Have I overlooked a config setting somewhere?

I’m interested in this too.

In my browser (Chrome), I see a dialogue pop-up that lets me select to always open these links in the application. I usually ignore that, but just checked the box. I also see this reminder on-screen (not in dialogue box):

Clicking “Change the settings here” takes me to the “Apps” tab of my settings in Asana.*
When I expand the Asana desktop app settings, I see “Open links in the Asana desktop app” is toggled on.

*This setting is only visible when I view the Asana settings in the browser. If I view it in the desktop app, it says, “Change settings in browser.”—linking me to view the same settings in my default browser.

For me, Asana links I click from Microsoft Teams still trigger a tab opening every time, but at least now it also opens the item in my desktop Asana application.
