🚨 Major update🚨 TechSoup application fee is now at a discounted rate.

:wave:t5: Hi Nonprofit Community,

I’m thrilled to announce that the Asana 50% discount application fee via TechSoup is now $45 (or equivalent international price) instead of $73.

If you are a nonprofit and want to get 50% off on an annual Asana subscription, you can follow the following instructions:

  1. Go to asana.com/nonprofit
  2. Select your country and click on “Get Started”
  3. You will be directed to a TechSoup page to sign up for a discount

If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out for further clarification; we’re here to help.

Thank you for the services you provide to your community.

Does the discount code need to be purchased annually?

Excellent. We need to add some additional seats to ours so we’ll take advantage of that.

Out of curiosity, why does Asana use Tech Soup? Is there a specific value prop for companies to use a middle man to administer nonprofit discounts? As a nonprofit, the whole concept of paying an administrative fee to a middle man is rather ironic. Tech Soup also complicates the process with additional hoops to jump through. Most of the nonprofit discounts we access are simply a matter of providing a company with proof of our 501c3, and then they either provide a discount code directly OR they comp the account on the backend which then auto-renews. Not that Tech Soup is that onerous… just curious.

@anon90101345 correct, Techsoup admin fees is an annual fee.
The reason behind this is Nonprofit status can be revoked after a year.
In order to ensure that we truly are providing access to the discount to eligible NPOs we need to ensure they are still operating in accordance with local law - a service Techsoup is able to provide.
Great question @anon90101345

@Barak_Bruerd that is a valid curiosity. In fact, TechSoup admin fees support Techsoup’s ability to verify nonprofit eligibility for the Asana for Nonprofit program and ensure they are able to continue to offer donated products as efficiently as possible, at the lowest possible cost.

Asana is committed to continuing to work toward reducing the cost of annual admin fees to ensure our program remains as accessible as possible.

For a small non-profit (3 seats), the original admin fee saved us about $40 in the end so this is a nice change

I’ve been using the free app since 2015 and have just bought the Non Profit upgrade at TechSoup. Am I able to have 2 seats using the paid upgrade and the rest of the team still on the free plan? Not everyone will use all the capabilities that I want. Most just need to be assigned tasks. Thanks!
