šŸ—£ Asana for Nonprofits Eligibility Change + Techsoup Admin Fee Discount + COVID-19 Support

During this time of uncertainty & flux for so many across the world, weā€™re pleased to announce ways weā€™re making it easier than ever for eligible nonprofit organizations (NPOs) to access our discount and join our program today!

:chart_with_upwards_trend: Annual Operating Budget Cap Lifted from $10million to $25 million :chart_with_upwards_trend:
Our research found that over 90% of the worldā€™s registered NPOs have annual operating budgets of less than $10 million dollars. The $10 million annual operating budget cap was designed to guarantee the eligibility of locally based NPOs (with one or two physical locations). That said, in order for us to better support small <> medium sized nonprofits (with a regional or national mandates), weā€™re delighted to announce an adjustment to our annual operating budget cap, which has been lifted from 10 million dollars a year to $25 million effective immediately.

So glad you are helping more non profits- great job Asana!

I really wish you would expand the non profit status to religious organizations. We as well as many churches work diligently on a regular basis to support our communities in major ways with social support programs that serve non religious purposes. We are the main supporter of one of the largest food banks in the Southeast. We support Childrens foster care programs as well as many others. I realize concerns over involving religious organizations, but believe it is worth working through the complexities.

What Asana offers is invaluable to our operations and I would ask to include us in the non profit status. Thanks for reconsidering- you have some raving fans.

Hereā€™s a question for you. Our next year renewal is up in May and when I went to pay the admin fee again, it says I have to wait until July. I think last year I upgraded up before I got the non-profit discount so you guys are showing I upgraded in May but Techsoup is showing July. How do we fix this?

So I wasnā€™t clear on this at techsoup, since we have to renew soonā€¦ we have a helpline and our requests are being affected by COVID-19. People need food, rent, etc. We are not a 24-7 helpline but we are available from 10-hrs a day more of less. is this just for new folks or current members? Thanks.

Hi @SheffieRobinson,

This is a great question; glad you posted this question. Your discount coupon is valid for one year, which technically would cover your renewal coming up in May (since it will stay on your account). Iā€™ve looked at your account and can confirm your renewal will be covered by your current discount coupon.

Youā€™ll be able to to purchase a new coupon code to maintain your discount in July, not before that time. Techsoup has structured their program in this way to make sure folks donā€™t purchase more discount codes than they need.

Hope this helps to clarify your situation a bit more!

Hi @Adrienne_McCue,

Since our COVID-19 offer is only available for free/unregistered Asana accounts, Iā€™m going to reach out privately to see if we can come up with an interim solution for you,

@Michael_A Could you please reach out to me via DM as well? The organization I work for is also a faith-based organization but we provide training and support to leaders who work in many organizations that are on the front-lines of caring for people and absolutely cannot afford to upgrade at the full rate.

Hi @Shannon_Freeman,
I reached out via DM :+1:

Hi @Michael_A! Iā€™m interested to see if their might be financial help for us as well? Our org took in about 30 co-op students when their co-ops vanished in the wake of covid-19. They need their co-ops to graduate from their university and it were in a tough spot! With this said, they came aboard to work on their very own created and developed research project for covid-19: https://www.globalresponseinitiative.com/ - In order to keep organized we added them to our Asana. Iā€™m looking for any help you can provide. Please DM me  Thanks!

Hi @Nicole_Elzer
Thanks for flagging this. Iā€™ve sent you a private message about this question/request.

Hello! We recently decided to make the switch to Asana as a church and have a TechSoup account - it was disheartening to see that churches are not eligible. Is there any other discount available for churches?

Hi there. I know youā€™ve talked with a couple other faith-based orgs about how Asana might be able to work with them. Can someone reach out to me, too? I lead a church that not only serves the whole community indiscriminately ā€“ we have nondiscrimination language in place ā€“ but also houses multiple secular nonprofit partner organizations that offer their own services out of our building. Iā€™m a huge fan of Asana and need more robust project planning capabilities than are available in the free version (in part because of all the work we do in collaboration with our secular nonprofit partners). Thanks for any consideration you can lend.
