Hi!
We started Asana 2 months ago - set up an organization, tested processes during the trial period and switched to the Starter rate.
Everything was fine until the invitation sending errors started. At first they were sporadic and I, as an administrator and participant, could send invitations from the browser version. But for 2 weeks now neither I nor one of the members of the organization can send invitations - an error appears and a text comes to the mail:
While we encourage spreading the word as much as possible, to help prevent spam we limit the number of daily invitations a user can send to 50 in a 24-hour period. You’ve reached your maximum for the day, so we did not send email to some of the people you invited.
Except that no one can send an invitation - so we couldn’t reach any limit (the number of guests in the organization doesn’t change, and neither do the invitations). We have already contacted support (cases 00945321 and 00970693). But there were no changes for 2 weeks. We want to work in Asana, it’s a great platform, but with this error it’s physically impossible. What can we do on our part if support can’t help?
Hi @Ксения_Методолог , sorry to hear you are facing these issues. It is good to reach out to support, but I would advise to NOT follow up with any emails to support such as ‘what is the status?’ etc otherwise it will push you ticket(s) to the bottom of the pile. Be patient and wait for their response.
In the meantime, instead of inviting users, you could ask them to simply ask them to go to asana.com and signup using their work email. That should allow them to create their own Asana account within your work space. Once they do that, you can add them to Teams and Projects because their username should show up in your space.
In some cases this could create a Division which could then be removed. The key is to ask them to NOT create any Teams or Projects - to wait until you add them to your existing Teams and Projects.
Thanks for the advice about patience and not checking back with support for status - understood and accepted.
We have tried asking users to register on their own, such users are now in Asana from their personal emails. But when trying to add them to the organization space, their emails or names don’t show up. That is, we can only send an invitation, to which an error appears. Is it possible that we are doing something wrong? We tried to send an invitation link to such a user, but it didn’t work either - he didn’t see the project. Or he could not request access on his own.
This is the problem, @Ксения_Методолог - they need to signup using their work emails, i.e. email addresses that share the same domain as your Asana space (which is on the Starter plan).
If they are using their personal emails (Gmail, Yahoo etc) to signup to Asana, then they are creating unique workspaces for themselves and that is why you cannot see them in your company’s Asana organization.
So there’s no way to invite guests that way?
No, you cannot. Sorry, there was no mention of Guests - I assumed you were trying to invite members from your organization.
