We’d like to keep a history of Project comments once individual tasks have been marked as complete. The comments disappear with the task once it’s marked as complete. Is there a way to keep a running summary of project comments as well as keep the comment associated with the individual task?
@Lindsay1, The comment thread is left unchanged when you mark complete, so maybe you’re referring to the fact that the task is likely removed from your view. To see even completed tasks, see the Change View menu as in How to use Asana, Asana tutorials, onboarding tips, and team use cases | Product guide • Asana Product Guide and select Completed Tasks or All Tasks.
As for project-level comments, there’s not exactly a feature like that, but a close one is Project Conversations, so perhaps have a look at the Conversations tab for your project. Or, if you don’t like those, maybe make a task called “Project-Level Comments” and use that task’s comment thread.
Hope that helps,
Larry
I was wondering how long comments remain on Asana. My company has an enterprise plan and we would like to see how far back when can pull out information (probably over the course of a few years)
Welcome, @Jeff_Garcia, Everything should persist forever in Asana as long as you don’t delete it yourself, as far as I know.
Larry
Thanks for the reply! That’s what I figured, but wanted to be sure.
