Currently if a task is not completed a few days after its due date, it no longer appears in the daily update of tasks due.
This is an especially big problem for recurring tasks because if you forget to mark the task as done you don’t receive a reminder the next time its due.
To avoid this, there should be an option to continue receiving reminders until the task is marked completed.
