"Just my tasks" filter does not work correctly when project view saved for everyone

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
In a project, when I select filter “just my tasks” and save the view for everyone → everyone sees my tasks, not their own “just my tasks”. Instead of “just my tasks” being selected for them, it shows "assignee: “Ivana” instead, even though this is not the filter I used.

Steps to reproduce:
User 1:

  1. For a project, select “just my tasks” filter
  2. Save view → Save for everyone

User 2:

  1. Open the same project.
Notice that instead of seeing own/User 2 tasks, this user sees only “User 1” tasks.

Welcome, @Ivana_Savic,

I’ve changed the category of your request because the filter currently is working as Asana intended, so they don’t see it as a bug but rather a request. You can click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the purple Vote button, as I just did.

Thanks,

larry

Thanks Larry. I’d tag design/UXR team on this. This looks like a usability issue the way it is set up - the UI does not community the intended functionality. But I get your point that it is working as intended.
