In Trello, you receive a small red bell icon both on the board and on individual cards whenever a change or update is made to a task. This made it very easy to see at a glance where new activity had happened.
I’m trying to achieve something similar in Asana.
Is there any built-in feature that provides a visible notification icon on tasks or projects when updates or comments are added?
If not, is it possible to recreate this behavior using Asana Rules or another workaround?
I’d love to hear how others handle this or if there’s a recommended best practice. Thanks in advance!
If so, click that topic’s title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button; that’s the quickest and most effective way to express your support for a request. And let me know so I can merge this thread into that one.
The approach in Asana is generally to use the Asana Inbox notifications, and make sure you’re collaborating on tasks you want to follow, a member of projects, etc., then religiously keep up with the Asana Inbox to track activity. And the tasks “come to you” there-- when you click the notification, the task or other object appears on the right side–no need to navigate away. Not the same, but that’s the way Asana operates by default.
