Is there a way to export data from a "Reporting" dashboard chart?

Just like the title says.

We are wanting a quick, easy way to capture data for overdue tasks by person at any given time when a manager looks. It is very easy to set this up in a reporting dashboard chart.

But, is there an easy way to export the data that is used to create these charts? Seems like it should be easy to do this, but there does not appear to be a way. Am I missing something simple?

TIA!

If you click the chart (the number for example), it gives you access to the data source (task list) which you can then export.

Bastien, we have a LOT of projects. Clicking on the graph only takes you to that one person’s items of whatever type you click on. I am looking for ALL of the data that is used to make the chart, not just one little part. We are not going to take the time to click and download 30 different things (10 people x 3 different overdue categories), then try to merge them into on data file. Asana is supposed to save time, not make things take longer.

These graphs are so quick/easy to create, why can’t exporting the data be just as easy?

I think your need will be better met with a saved (starred) advanced search report than a chart. It can specify all users and then be grouped by user, and exported from the search results.

Thanks,

Larry

That would be great, and I’ve looked, except there’s no way to filter an advanced search by “overdue” tasks, only by specific dates. (I’m not the first person wanting to easily see this information, based on what I’ve seen in my searching.)

Whereas the reporting chart has all the information we’re looking for, and took all of a minute to create. I wouldn’t think it would be all that difficult to add an option where you right click, and export the data that is already there. Frustrating.

Bumping this. Anyone else have an idea?

Anyone???

There is no solution to your problem at the moment, except use the API to export all the data (or use 3rd party dashboarding tools)
