Okay, John Cena, you want Tables?!
Ask, and you shall receive ![]()
It sounds like you’ve been tracking vendors and/or assets in spreadsheets all over the place and then subsequently been copying them into tasks which is making you absolutely bonkers. Am I right?
WELL, do we have the thing for you!
Introducing: Tables
Tables give you a structured home for reference data in Asana, connected to the work that uses it.
Launch status: Live for all customers
Pricing tier: Available on Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ plans.
What’s new?
-
Turn a project into a table: Open a project, click the drop-down next to its name, and select Create table from project. -
Describe each entry with custom fields: Add fields like owner or category so every record stays consistent. -
Connect records to your work: Link records to tasks, projects, and other tables so the details travel with the work. -
Bring in existing data: Import a CSV file to move data from a spreadsheet into a table. -
Give AI more context: AI Teammates and Asana Dash can use table information to answer questions with more context.
Is Tables a replacement for a CRM?
Not exactly. Tables works best for reference data that supports your work, so it isn’t meant to replace a CRM or a formula-heavy spreadsheet.
Who can see my records?
Tables uses Asana’s existing permissions at the table and record level, so people only see records they can access.
