Introducing capacity planning in Asana!

Jeremie (and Marie), this is our exact situation. We have a huge number of placeholder tasks that we’ll be very happy to not have to handle anymore. BUT, the capacity plan needs to be able to sync out- in our case to Google Sheets. As it is the capacity plan is the solution we need but it doesn’t give us access to connect our labor hour data to our external financial sheets.

Earlier this year, we launched Capacity Planning. This feature has been instrumental in helping customers staff their projects effectively, by providing detailed insights into staffing trends and highlighting hiring needs.

Since the launch, we’ve gathered feedback and learned that many of you needed a clearer view of how well your projects are staffed. We’re now excited to introduce the option to create a capacity plan grouped by project—an addition that allows you to see exactly how well your projects are staffed, all in one place!

Are you sure? I am using Business Workspace, and do not see Capacity planning. Can you guide me as to how I can start using it? Please and thanks.

Thanks @Richard_Sather . This would have been useful for our team. We have grown to the size where capacity planning is a needed tool for our Managers, and I was hoping to keep it within Asana, rather than any addition and separate SW tool, or spreadsheet. This would be the only feature that would warrant upping our Tier for additional cost, as we are very happy with our current usage of Asana for Project and task assignments otherwise. We will evaluate, or wait for it to be rolled out to all users. Appreciate your quick reply.
