I’d like to request an increase in the maximum number of custom fields allowed per project, ideally from 100 to somewhere around 150–200.
One of the best structural decisions we’ve made in our workspace is creating a “hidden” project where all the core rules, automations, and hidden custom fields live. This keeps the average user’s view clean and prevents them from accidentally breaking workflows, while allowing us to centralize and manage complex automations from one place. If you haven’t done this, I would highly recommend this approach.
However, because of this setup, we quickly reach the 100-field limit, especially when building out advanced workflows that rely on multiple number, date, single-select and multi-select fields.
Of course, we could create multiple projects and multihome tasks to extend functionality, and we’ve done that in some cases, but it would be great to keep everything in one unified “engine” project without fragmenting the logic.
I completely understand there may be technical or performance considerations, but even a modest increase (say, to 150–200 custom fields) would make a big difference for teams using Asana as a scalable system builder.
