Every time I import a csv file from airtable, the date fields are imported completely wrong, with random dates being input, instead of the date which is assigned to the task. I have tried importing only one date field such as only the end date, instead of both the start and end date, but this does not work. Are there any solutions to this problem?
When you add the date from the CSV file before you go to the project, the dates are all correct, but when you create the project, the dates are randomised. See both uploads for date changes.
Hi @Ibrahim_Goksu, sorry to hear about this issue. From the screenshots, it looks like your ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’ columns have different formatting. To ensure the data is read correctly by Asana, please adjust the formatting to the standard US date format (month/day/year). You can find more details about preparing your data in this article.
If the issue persists, please contact our Support team and include the CSV file in your message so they can investigate further. I hope this helps!
Its the same with excel. If you export a board to CSV and import it immediately and assuming Due Date is mapped; your dates will all be different as its expecting mm/yy/dd
In excel you would would have to format as mm/dd/yyyy i.e USA (MAGA)
You can replicate this with excel without the complication of air table. Im 999.99999% sure its just formatting.
Just my tuppence worth
