The “Used by” column in the Custom Fields Index Page indicates Projects, Portfolios, and Project Templates where a particular custom field is used.
However, it does not indicate Rules where that use that custom field. Rules flag issues and throw errors based on custom field changes. Ergo, it seems this would be a great place to indicate what rules use a given custom field in their triggers, condition gates, and actions.
