I have several private projects containing sensitive tasks. It always freaks me out in the My Tasks list to see “Collaborators” listed in the Task Visibility field. I have to remind myself that there aren’t any assigned collaborators on those sensitive projects, so effectively these tasks are private to me.
I would like some kind of visual distinction so I know that only I can see those tasks. Perhaps you can put the current number of collaborators in parentheses? That way, I can relax when I see “Collaborators (0)”. Or mark them as “Only me”, since I’m the only person with access.
I don’t understand. If they are collaborators (using the native Collaborator functionality in Asana, not a Custom people field called collabors) they can see the task. So the task is not private to you, but the other tasks in that project are. (Assuming the task only lives in private projects that you are the sole project member of)
I’m referring to private projects that I am the sole member of. The tasks I’m referring to are indeed private only to me.
My point is that the My Tasks interface makes this difficult to double-check. Even though no-one else can see those tasks (because there are no collaborators), the fact that its in a project means the word “Collaborators” appears in the Task Visibility field.
I then worry that I may have done something to accidentally enable these tasks to be seen by someone.
I would prefer the Asana interface to make it clear when I’m the only person who can (currently) see that task because there are no collaborators.
