I’ve created a task in which 4 people are collaborating on. I’ve added them each as collaborators on the project and individual task. In the past, when a person was added as a collaborator on a task, they would also see it in their “My Tasks” section with the due date.
I know there’s a function to duplicate the task for each person, but in an effort to keep Asana clean, the collaborators section served the same purpose, but isn’t showing the Task for each person. Is this new or can anyone advise on how to add collaborators and create a tasks that all involved can see in their My Tasks section?
To see a task in “My Tasks” you have to be assigned to it. It is possible to see in My Task who is collaborating on the task. Duplicates or subtasks may be the answer you are looking for.
Just want to make clear that it was never the case that someone could see in their My Tasks a top-level task where that person was not the assignee, so you must be thinking of something different.
As mentioned, subtasks could help as a workaround, or using a project (or search results view) for all parties, but not My Tasks.
