Import subtasks via CSV without parent tasks

Currently you can only import subtasks using a csv with a new parent task. I would like to import subtasks for existing tasks.

Thanks for sharing this feedback with us @Christine_Hill, we will definitely keep it in mind for future improvements :slight_smile:

Marie, has ther been any improvement on the import of subtasks with out a parent task?

We have 400 Customers with the same parent Tasks that have upward 25 Sub tasks.

  1. very hard to duplicate the parent task 400 times
    I have managed to get it right in csv first BUT

if a simple sub task needs to be added after import you cant do it via csv which means manually loading to all 400+ parent tasks manually.

@Marie

@Marie Same issue! Crazy that you can import subtasks via CSV but not to a task you already made. We have a form that is creating lots of our tasks, but there’s no way to get a form to make subtasks for you. There has to be a good nonmanual way to duplicate sets of subtasks.

I quite sure you cannot do it with Asana out of the box. Flowsana by @Phil_Seeman can do exactly that
