All images attached to tasks are not showing. Both in thumbnail preview and when clicked on, nothing shows.

I was unable to reproduce the issue myself. I currently use Chrome as well as Safari.
I would recommend you submit a ticket to the support team and let them look into it.
I would also suggest you check and see if the Asana Desktop App and/or Mobile app performs the same and include the outcome in your ticket to the support team so you can fast track this step too
