I mistakenly created personal boards as a guest on someone else's Asana

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way of exporting all my boards to my personal account, as I was silly enough to create private boards whilst being signed in as a guest. So if they owner of the account I’m invited to decided to delete his account or whatever, what happens to all my personal private boards? Is there any way around this? Thank you!

Hi @Gina_Shearston - You have a few options:

  1. You can export to CSV (like an excel file) and then import to a separate account (https://help.asana.com/hc/en-us/articles/23359293864859-Project-importing-and-exporting)
  2. You can use a free migration tool to migrate 1 project at a time using https://ditto.kothar.net/

Either of those could help!

To expand on @Bryan_TeamKickstart’s good reply, the Ditto app will do a much more thorough job (CSV will not capture many things). But Ditto also leaves a few things out so read the FAQ there.
