What is the current method for removing/editing fields?

This method shown in the article you linked is currently the only way to edit/hide fields within a project.
Only Members of a space will be able to edit/hide custom fields in a project. Can you please confirm if you are a Member or a Guest in this space?
If you are a Guest, this is expected behaviour
