Hi there, can anyone suggest a way to get times to appear within MyTasks, so there’s a list of hourly slots down the lefthand side, and I can move individual tasks around so I can plan what to do at different times of the day, just like this? (I found this screengrab on an Asana help page, but think it may show a Google calendar, rather than Asana?!)
Thanks so much
For Asana, here are your options to achieve this kind of hourly time-blocking:
- Asana + Google Calendar Integration:
- Keep your tasks in Asana
- Enable the Google Calendar sync feature in Asana
- Use Google Calendar for the detailed hourly planning
- Tasks will sync between both platforms
- Asana’s Built-in Calendar:
- While Asana does have a calendar view, it doesn’t offer the hourly breakdown view you’re looking for
- You can add due times to tasks, but you won’t get this kind of detailed time-slot visualization
Given what you’re trying to achieve, I’d recommend using the Asana + Google Calendar integration. This would give you:
- The exact hourly view you want (in Google Calendar)
- Task management capabilities (in Asana)
- Two-way sync so you can update in either place

Welcome, @Charlotte_Cullinan,
I recommend you look at the screenshot within this post:
It’s an older version of Asana, but those underlined groupings are Sections (they just appear these days as larger boldfaced, not with underlines).
That’s one of the alternatives I offer in my comprehensive set of recommendations overall for Asana My Tasks:
Thanks,
Larry
Hi both, that’s really helpful, thanks so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, I’ll look into both of those options. Thank you!
