Hello - I had the free trial, and enjoyed it very much. I had grouped projects into portfolios and now gravely wish I had not experimented with that feature. The trial has ended, as expected, and I understand that Portfolios are not available at lower levels of service. But my data is now unaccessible. Can you please clarify how I can pull out my data from the Portfolio feature? I would like to use Asana for my organization, but $25 per month per person is too costly for me right now. What are my options here?
Hi Stephen - Wanted to provide an update on this situation, as surely I am not the only user experiencing these challenges.
I do reach out to support and both representatives were incredibly helpful. I was referred to the Sales department, which so far has been decidedly less so.
My first inquiry to Sales resulted in return of a boilerplate email asking for information about my organization so that a sales professional could contact me and set me up with the plan. Nothing in this email gave any indication that my inquiry had actually been read.
I replied to the email with clarification and reiteration of my request for a short extension just to pull dome data out of the portfolio feature. After waiting several days for a response, I received an email stating flatly that no extensions are to be given. The email continued on to offer me a wealth of support - the Forum, Asana Academy, one-on-one consultation with a private Asana professional. Oh, ever so much support out there for all but the one thing that I need help with. And not even a trace of empathy or commiseration for my plight.
I have responded back with two solutions of my own, and I hope that I receive a response with a few more solutions from the creative hive that is Asana.
@Bridget_Michlig - very sorry to hear you’re not having a good experience. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot we can do in the forum beyond referring you to support. Perhaps someone from the @Forum-team can provide some help.
I’m sorry to hear that your request for a trial extension was declined, @Bridget_Michlig. Unfortunately, this isn’t something our Forum team can assist with, as free trials are managed solely by Sales. Generally, only one free trial per space is allowed, and only the Sales team can advise on whether an extension is possible.
If you feel comfortable, you can share your proposed solutions here with us. While we might not be as familiar with the trial process as Sales, we’ll do our best to offer advice.
Also, depending on their workload, it might take Sales a bit longer to respond, but I hope you hear back soon!
