How do you create this type of "note" task?

How do you create a task/subtask like in the screenshot which is more of a notes/placeholder with no completion checkbox? This is from the Asana Sprint Planning template but I have seen it on other templates as well.

I have been trying to figure this out for a while, but it’s hard because I don’t know what it’s actually called.

Thanks!

@Hytham_Bakir - this is called a “Subtask Section”, but truthfully works more like just a divider between groups of subtasks.

You can create one by…

  1. Clicking on the task title of any subtask
  2. Hitting TAB + N on your keyboard

Hope that helps!

Great. Thank you, Bryan!

Is there any way to create this for tasks/sections as well? I would like to use these to provide instructions.

@Hytham_Bakir - the task-level equivalent of this is just “Sections”. There are no “dividers” at the task level.

I have seen some people create a section that is meant to remain empty and is only to be used as a divider for visual organization or sections.

But, if you are actually need sections and subsections at the task level, you definitely can do that (using the new Group By button with a primary and secondary grouping), but that’s a separate and more detailed topic. If that’s what you need, let me know and I’ll explain further.
