My question has three parts about the calendar view in My Tasks:
How can I choose what custom fields appear on the calendar view in My Tasks. I know I can do this in the list view, but I haven’t been able to figure it out in calendar view
Is it possible to change the color of a task in the calendar view to be something other than the project color? If so, how?
Is it possible to move several due dates at once? If I have an urgent project come up that’s due tomorrow, can I shift all the other dates by one day like you can in the timeline view on a project? I want to do this from My Tasks because I have tasks from several different projects and it seems like a waste of time to have to go into every single project individually and move the due dates for only that project.
@Keaton_Newbold - I am fairly certain that none of these are currently supported in My Tasks, unfortunately. For 1, have you tried reordering the fields in your My Tasks customize menu? That might re-order what fields show up on your calendar (not sure, haven’t tried this myself).
I believe Asana is in the midst of rethinking My Tasks, so hopefully that will offer you more options in the future.
That’s the weird thing about the custom fields in the My Tasks calendar view. Most of the ones that show up on my calendar are not even in the list of custom fields in My Tasks. I’ve tried adding them to My Tasks and then hiding them with no luck. There’s also one custom field from a project that doesn’t show at all in the calendar view and I wish the rest would just do that haha.
Anyway, thank you for your response! Hopefully they update My Tasks soon.
The rollout is at 10% so far, so it might not be available to you just yet. While we don’t have a specific ETA for full rollout, I’d recommend following the announcement post for updates. We’ll keep it regularly updated to ensure everyone stays informed.
I hope this new My Tasks experience meets your needs!
