In an agency setting: "How can I setup a project in Asana where a “client” can see tasks and tag, but NOT see all of the other projects we manage in Asana.
Hello @Julie_Edgett,
if you add the client only to this one project they won‘t be able to see other projects.
And you could add them with commenter access only so they won‘t be able to make any changes.
Otherwise you can give them editor access if you prefer.

Also here is a great post about suggestions on how to work with external clients.
Thanks Andrea. I tested this with another member of my team’s non-work email (like as if they were a client) and it only showed their project. However as a “collaborator” they were also able to create a project which is NOT something we want them to do.
Therefore, I may be setting this up the wrong way. Can you please help me by reviewing how we setup a client project in Asana?
Here is what I am doing now.
Now:
- copy an existing project we have for a specific service type
- rename the project for the customer’s name, star it so it will show up on the priority list
- Add the people at my agency working on the project as “Members” and add the Client as a “Collaborator” in the project
- Assign client tasks for review/approval
Do I need to create a “Team” before I do all of these steps? If so, do I need to make it “private” so none of my other client collaborators will see the project?
