I am on a starter plan, myself and two other team mates - but Do I really need to upgrade to see multiple projects in a Gantt chart?
This seems a bit ridiculous?
Can someone confirm this, because I’m happy to switch to something else.

You can upgrade, but this is not a feature that exists. Asana has Gantt view in each project, and has a timeline view on Portfolio but it doesn’t show tasks (just projects as “blocks” and milestones)
Wow. Alright.
Thank you for the Response, and I guess goodbye asana
There is a workaround: place (manually or automatically) all tasks from different projects into a single project, and then access the Gantt view. But this isn’t a native feature, that’s what I meant
This would require me to manually add tasks to said project.
Seems strange to be paying for something to help automate workflow, and then to do manual labour on tasks like this?
But, I appreciate the suggestion.
Just adding to Quinton’s request. I would greatly appreciate Asana offering us the capability of providing one large gantt chart view of which ever projects we want to visualize. I currently have to use excel for this, and it is frustrating to duplicate materials. FYI I have at least 10 projects that I oversee, and it’s useless to have individual gantt charts for each project and not have a full overview. PLEASE add this feature. Our org has the pro plan, I believe. Thank you!
Hi @Leticia_Soto_Flores , as @Bastien_Siebman mentions above, the Portfolio’s Timeline view will provide you with what you are looking for, as you describe it.
Not sure what plan your are on - there is no ‘pro’ plan, but portfolios are available on Advanced, Enterprise, Enterprise+ or legacy Business or legacy Enterprise.
However, if you want to expand your projects to see all tasks, a solution could be to use a 3rd party app such as https://instagantt.com/ where you can group multiple projects within a large Gantt chart.
Thank you @Richard_Sather, I greatly appreciate your message. I just tried the portfolio view, but as Bastien mentioned, it doesn’t show any dates, which doesn’t help. We have the Advanced plan. I’ll try the third party app, as you suggest, thank you!
