Errors during search on Android app

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
• Everytime I search on the app, I immediately receive the error message “There were # errors” (replace ‘#’ with any number) for each tiggered action. Sometimes I dont even have to click the magnifying glass to initiate the search, Ill receive the error while typing. (see screenshot 1)

• Mobile app searches do not display results if the keyword is only in the description. The keyword must only be in the title for search to find it. This operates differently than online or desktop where the keyword can be in either the title or description. (see screenshots 2-4)

Steps to reproduce:
Type a keyword in the search bar of the mobile app.

Browser version:
Chrome 116.0.5845.164

What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)?

I can confirm that I’ve also seen this on Android in the last week or so.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay and for trouble with the Android app. We could not replicate this on our end. Can you confirm if the issue persists after updating/reinstalling the app?

Yes, I still do get the errors after I just uninstalled, restarted, re-installed Asana.

Hi @anon67887484, thank you for your patience. Our Developers have confirmed that the issue with search errors has been fixed. However, the search results not populating if the keyword searched is not on the title of the task is a limitation, not a bug. They’ve noted the feedback and hope this can be implemented in a future update. I’m moving this thread to our Closed section but let me know if you have any questions.
