It is crucial that the description field is also included in search results, even on the mobile app.
For comparison, both Trello and Notion allow searching within the task description field, so it feels a bit surprising that this functionality is not available in Asana.
Not all users work in a comfortable environment using the desktop version of Asana. Many users are on the move or using public transportation, where they need to quickly search for and access specific information. The number of such users is likely higher than one might imagine.
This improvement would make Asana even more accessible and efficient for all users, no matter where they are working from.
I strongly hope that this fundamental feature will be implemented in Asana’s mobile app.
@Jan-Rienk, thank you for your response and support.
To be honest, I was quite surprised to learn that such a basic feature—searching for content written in the description field—is not available in Asana’s mobile app.
It almost feels like a feature that should be available but might not be working due to an unintended bug or issue.
That said, since this basic functionality is currently missing, I hope it catches the developers’ attention and gets implemented in the future.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’ll share it with our product team so we can investigate whether it’s a critical bug or an opportunity for improvement.
In any case, I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information.
